Memorandum of understanting between L’Orientale University of Naples and M. Utemissov West Kazakhstan State University

untitled1Rector of L’Orientale University in Naples, Prof. Edda Morlicchio, and  Rector of M. Utemissov West Kazakhstan State University in Uralsk (Kazakhstan), Prof. Askhat Imangaliyev, have signed a memorandum of understanding to begin a collaboration between the two prestigious academic institutions.

The agreement provides for the possibility of creating shared courses, encouraging the exchange of student groups and teaching staff, the recognition of reciprocal courses and equivalent qualifications, the implementation of symposiums and cultural events on themes and all those activities that can help to increase the knowledge of the two Countries.

The ceremony for the signing of the memorandum was held at the Palazzo Du Mesnil, seat of the rectory of L’Orientale University, in the presence of the Councillor of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Rome Seit Nurpeissov, of the Second Secretary of the Embassy, Seiilkhan Aubakirov, and the Honorary Consul in Naples Sergio Moscati.

For L’Orientale University were present the Director of the Department Asia Africa and Mediterranean, Prof. Michele Bernardini and the Associate Professor Tommaso Trevisani, who has already acquired, during last years significant teaching experiences in Kazakhstan.

During the ceremony, Rector Imangaliyev has appointed Rector Edda Morlicchio as “Honorary Professor” of the M. Utemissov West Kazakhstan State University.

Universities of Campania region meet ENU in Astana

==_Z09B4741 On Monday, June 12, our Consulate promoted a meeting between a delegation of Professors of the Department of Engineering and spin-off of the Federico II University of Naples, the University of Salerno and the University of Sannio, and the Faculty of Education of the Gumilyov Eurasian National University of Astana.

The delegation was formed by Prof. Mario Pagano of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology and Annamaria Buonamano, Researcher of the Industrial Engineering Department of the Federico II University of Naples, Prof. Vincenzo Galdi of the Industrial Engineering Department and Ing. Paolo Sommella of the University of Salerno and Prof. Francesco Pepe from the Department of Engineering of the University of Sannio.

After an interesting guided visit to the Ethnographic Museum of the University, the delegation, accompanied by the Honorary Consul Sergio Moscati and the Campania Region Manager Stefania Cuccurrese, was received by the vice-Rector Gulnara Merzadinova in the Academic Senate’s Hall for a moment of greeting and of confrontation with the Kazakh colleagues.

During the meeting, the bases for creating synergies and exchange programs between teachers and students were launched and a collaboration on common projects will start soon.Z09B4693Z09B4710Z09B4685
